Faith Seahorn

Faith Seahorn earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Philander Smith College. Her commitment to public service started in August 2010, after she committed herself to the United States Federal Government workforce. Her federal career spans across multiple federal agencies, which include the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Transportation-Federal Highway Administration and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) – Office of National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), where she currently holds a position as a Budget and Accounting Technician.
During Ms. Seahorn’s federal career she completed the Emerging VA Leaders, leadership program in 2012. After successfully completing the program, she was selected to serve four years as chairperson for the VA Diversity Advisory Committee. While in this position She organized, planned, and facilitated intergroup interactions with VA employees and Veterans at diversity events to reduce prejudice and discrimination and to disseminate information about cultural awareness. Likewise, in her current position, Ms. Seahorn jumped at the opportunity to serve on the African American Diversity Committee at NASS.
Ms. Seahorn currently serves as the third-term President of the Federally Employed Women (FEW) of Central Arkansas Chapter for years 2018-2019, 2020-2022, and 2023-2024. Under her leadership, the Central Arkansas chapter received two first place National Awards for FEW Memberships and Special Projects for honoring women in the United States Armed Forces. The chapter has also received regional awards from FEW and under Ms. Seahorn’s governance FEW memberships have doubled and steadily increased each year.
Ms. Seahorn is the proud mother of two lovely daughters. In her spare time, she volunteers for various organizations and events in her community. She also serves on planning committees by helping organizers have successful events.
